Biography

Julian Angel is the multi-instrumental rock artist rated "Stripper Rock". The term "Stripper Rock" goes back to a review by Phil T. for Swedish webzine "Glitzine". Julian Angel is the multi-instrumental rock artist rated "Stripper Rock". The term "Stripper Rock" goes back to a review by Phil T. for Swedish webzine "Glitzine". Also Vince Black of sleaze-metal.com has described Julian Angel's music as the perfect soundtrack for striptease and lap dancing. No wonder, since Julian’s second solo album “Choreography Sucks” features a hot mixture of crunchy rock guitars, catchy hooklines and slamming grooves. Imagine Motley Crue violate Fergie… The "Angelman", as friends call him, has been involved in show business ever since he hit the stage at the age of sixteen with his school band. He continued playing in several professional dance- and cover bands while always writing and recording his own songs which resulted in a few early cuts on cd compilations by well known record labels. The year 2000 saw Julian Angel's first solo cd significantly titled "angel-rock.com" which yielded comparisons with the likes of Bon Jovi, Firehouse and White Lion and a nomination for the German Rock Awards 2000 as "Best Guitarist". After an intermezzo as a rock journalist (Julian conducted interviews with Bret Michaels, Jim Gillette and others) Julian started his own artist booking agency G.T.O. Entertainment providing show acts and entertainment for such renowned clients as Hewlett Packard, s.Oliver, the Cadillac Golf Cup and others. Finally, in late 2007 Julian Angel released his second album "Choreography Sucks" which featured his brand of "stripper rock". "Choreography" was love or hate and somehow divided the rock nation into adversaries and supporters. The latter would create fan pages and groups to help spread the word, have Julian call in for radio interviews all over the world and, in the case of glam rock legend Kelv Hellrazer, turn into his promoter and representative. At the moment as you read this Julian Angel is writing new material for a follow up album and composes a catalogue of instrumental tracks for film and television.
