Born and raised in Chicago, Il. in a family of musicians, family gatherings always turned into a jam session. Robert's mother, a Chicago native married Robert John Lewis Sr. who was born and raised in Louisiana, giving Robert Jr. that soulful southern flair to his guitar playing. Roberts Grandparents, Raymond and Lorraine Connor were performers in the 40's in the Chicago speak easy scene. Robert's Uncle Ken was born and raised in Tennessee and plays country. Uncle Danny, Cousin Eddie and Cousin Larry played everything from Acid Rock, Rock and Roll and Blues. This vaste background of music that surrounded Robert as he grew up has helped him develop a very unique style of playing. Growing up Robert was all about taking over the world of music with Rock and Roll. Nowadays it's all about heart and soul when he slings that guitar over his shoulder. Blues, Country or a Swampy groove is what it's all about.
