J Woods was born in Ohio 1992, Although J Woods is a Rapper, he is also a Songwriter, Studio Engineer, Producer, Video Director, Graphic Designer and also plays the drums and started singing at the very young age of 3. At the age of 8, he started rhyming with friends and in the privacy of his room and In School. His passion for music continued to grow as he grew older. His biggest musical inspiration growing up was from his dad who always played music. He also credits Biggie Smalls as a source of inspiration. He would often listen to Biggie’s songs as he sat and wrote his own lyrics. Realizing that there are millions of other artists seeking to become known and successful artists, J Woods aims to be unlike others. He takes time to study his music and sits to tweak the sound so that what he is putting out has the best possible chance of getting attention. He names Wiz Khalifa as his immediate artist of influence due to Wiz’s drive and determination. J Woods knows that the way that Wiz approached his music before he rose to the top is the way that he will in terms of overall approach. J Woods attended Fremont Ross High School and studied music. He recently dropped a mixtape titled “Mr. I dus dis, part 3”” and is even about to release a pop/techno/hip-hop Mixtape Called "It's Jay" Later in 2012. Jay has performed in various places in Ohio, Michigan, and D.C and will be performing in many other states as well over the next several months. He also hopes to work with Big Sean, Wale, J Cole, Meek Millz, Rick Ross, Lupe Fiasco, Mac Miller, Miley Cyrus, Bow Wow, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Timberland, Chris Brown, Jay Z, Kanye West, Trey Songz, DJ Khaled, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Dipset, Roscoe Dash and Kesha. His future aspirations are to launch his own publishing company, record label, and a recording/dance studio for the youth.
