Kat Hamilton

Kat Hamilton is a singer/songwriter/performer from Corte Madera, California. At the age of 5 years old she decided she wanted to be a singer and has been pursuing a music career ever since. She started performing in competition choir at 6 and played lead and supporting roles in a variety of musicals. After picking up a guitar at 11 years old, she started writing her own songs. Kat Hamilton is a singer/songwriter/performer from Corte Madera, California. At the age of 5 years old she decided she wanted to be a singer and has been pursuing a music career ever since. She started performing in competition choir at 6 and played lead and supporting roles in a variety of musicals. After picking up a guitar at 11 years old, she started writing her own songs. She started playing at local venues and talent searches as well as in her her schools music department performances. Her popularity as a songwriter only grew and as she delved into different musical projects. She sang and wrote for bands such as Pidgeons and People, Sir Francis Shake, and The Griffin Hart Fan club, and oakland based rap group: New Generation. She still performs with three of them and cut a record with Sir Francis Shake, summer of 2010. As well as performing Kat has been an assistant teacher in many musical programs, helping students find their niches in music She now resides in Boston, Ma and is immersing herself and the complex and beautiful world of music education at Berklee College of Music. She is pursuing many creative endeavors and is an active member of the Berklee Slam Poetry Team. When she's not studying or working, Kat's jamming, writing songs,writing and performing her slam poetry, knitting and expanding her penguin collection. She is still making music and looking forward to all the possibilities it will bring.
