Definatly inspired me to sing. Someone saw my performance at The Star pub in Dorking and said I'm like Missy Higgins who is a Australian Singer-Songwriter which compelled me to start writing music that really wanted to be heard, songs that meant something and that people could relate to; even if it is love, sexuality and modern society. In November 2009, I went back to Toronto to visit family. As My uncle Steve, Lizzy and I left HMV, he casually pointed out Tegan and Sara's new album Sainthood. From then on, I've been absolutly in awe of their talent and personal attachment to the audience through their performing.
I've been writing songs since I was 13. Ever since then, i've been randomly playing guitar in Starbucks, at the park and around families and friends. Some random man said I should record my songs and put them on the internet so I can become more well known. I didn't really believe him but I guess it worked.
I'm born and bred Canadian and living in the UK. I think because of my mixed accent, i have a mixed sound which contributes to my individuality and unique approach to singing.
I'm in love with guitars. I feel, you can never truely have enough. I have an electric Fender, an acoustic Fender, an acoustic Stag and borrowing a friends electric acoustic Yamaha for recording.
