Mc Lyte, Vita, Charlie Baltimore, Trina, and none other than the Queen Bee herself, Lil Kim, were just a few female Hip-Hop artists that inspired The 1st Lady of North Carolina. Every since August 21, 1988, the day she was born, Kay’se has been a stand out individual. She never treated rapping as a hobby because, to her, it was deeper than rap. Hip-Hop has always brought a sense of serenity to the young female artist. When she felt sad, writing down lyrics allowed her to vent & express the emotion she was feeling deep down inside. And to this day, the one thing that makes Kay’se grind as hard as she does is when people first see her or walk up to her, their first instinct or reaction is to think she’s just another “singer”. That alone, drives The 1st Lady to prove to any & everybody that she “got flow” and has a swag that no one can ever touch. There is a glow surrounding this young, intelligent, beautiful woman and nobody has the passion for music like she does. When she said, “Never judge me, I’m only human”, that marked the day that she was fully focused and would do whatever it took to reach the top, because even she knows…………she is destined for stardom!
