Keylan Kilo Cuzz Allen grew up on the Westside of St. Louis, MO. Growing up Kilos family exposed him to every genre of music. From Johnny Taylor to Aretha Franklin he heard it all. Due to his environment it wasnt hard for Kilo to fall into the entrapment of his surroundings. Kilo knew that there was no future in it because that life could only be lived in the present before it was taken away. Kilo turned to music. His older brother was his first musical influence. He taught Kilo to play the drums and the keyboard, and they became his way of escaping it all. He listened to Three Six Mafia, Twista and Master P. absorbing their talent. One day someone gave him a tape recorder to keep his own beats on. All the while his older cousins were into rapping and they encouraged Kilo to try it. He was discouraged but they emphasized practice. One day it took. He tried and kept trying. Kilo joined Blakk Gang in 2003. From a history of battle rapping in malls and the lunchroom, a future mogul was made. Kilo Cuzz of the present is the result of the practice of the past. A simple rap about food in the lunch room began the career of Kilo Cuzz. He has never forgotten or regretted his past because it defines who he is today and will be tomorrow.
