KNOX is a hip-hop artist from Phoenix, Arizona. Basing majority of his raps on personal issues and story telling, he's able to describe hardships, emotional distress and real life scenarios that make common people & listeners relate to him with every word. He brings real life back to hip-hop music. After surviving an abusive childhood & alcoholic father, Knox turned to music early in his life as an escape from reality. After his parents divorce & some troubles with the law, Knox & a childhood friend started doing music as the group Brew Crew. They toured the nation and opened for such acts as Tech N9ne, Phunk Junkeez, Kottonmouth Kings, Rehab, 2 Live Crew & much more, but the party scene was getting a little old for Knox. Dealing with personal issues, drug addictions, recently becoming a father & the loss of his mother to cancer, Knox decided to step away from Brew Crew to venture out as a solo artist. He wanted to develop a sound that was true to how he felt and described the emotions and situations he was going through in his life. He wanted to do music that was true to his heart. So with that he started the Indie record label Centaur Entertainment. After almost a year in the studio, Knox is ready to launch his debut solo album, "From The Ashes" due out later in 2009.
