About Koncept
This 16-year-old emcee can not be controlled. Koncept (born Maxwell Jackson, III) was born and raised in Hempstead, NY,and wrote his first rhyme for a project in 4th grade. Growing up inspired by artists such as Nas, Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill, and Mary J. Blige through the atmosphere of his Long Island home, he began to compose lyrics. Since then, he has moved to Richmond, VA and has continued to pursue music even more. Koncept can dismantle an instrumental on the spot anywhere, anytime, and his written ryhmes are incredible, and always contain a concept, hence his name. He met up with Richmond artist Lyrix through a mutual friend in late 2007. Soon after, he started to work heavily with Lyrix on his debut mixtape which is rumored to be titled Talking In My Sleep.
