Kourtney Lynee Pierce born March 16, 1985 in San Diego, California, is an aspiring American R&B singer-songwriter. Always having a way with words came easy to her. Putting those words on paper and making them in to a story was her passion and seeing and hearing those words out in the world is her dream.
Born in San Diego, California but raised in the DC/Metro Area by her mother, who inspired her to sing but sharing her soulful sounds throughout her childhood. The development of her unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influence. Her mother and aunt both were blessed with the gift of singing, and watching them sing as she grew inspired her to sing. She started singing in the church at an early age and had her first solo performance at 4 for her preschool graduation. That performance sparked the music with in her soul and the journey began. In elementary school, she joined the band playing the flute, participated in many school musicals and plays and out of the many who auditioned made it in to the Montgomery County Honors Chorus. In the 4th grade Kourtney started her first singing group and wrote her first song titled 24/7. In her early-to-mid teens she continued to write songs and poetry hoping one day someone would see her words. Starting the group Caress, with 3 of her friends proved that she had the talent and ability to pursue her dreams. Even though the group failed Kourtney continued her pursuit to music.
Today, Kourtney is pursuing her solo singing career, as well as songwriting. Aspiring to be the best she can has always be the main goal in her life and she will pursue that in her music. Currently, Kourtney is working on her first album and a collection of works for others to experience. Broadening her horizons and branching out in to other genres helps to keep her music fresh and alive. Living the dream has always been her passion but helping someone else live the dream with her is a great accomplishment. The satisfaction she gets from indulging in her many passions has not only helped her to become a singer but always she hopes to make a beautiful music for others in the future.
