KPT is a 24-year-old Indian rapper from Cleveland, OH. His start in music came atthe young age of 13 in choir class. From hip hop to country to Indianmusic, he truly is passionate about energetic performances and raging on stage, butsays he listens to everything from Kid Rock to LeAnn Rimes. He takes his hyped-upperformances from Tupac, but also took note from Bob Marley and The Beatles for theircrowd-pleasing shows. Collaborations, KPT says, are important, but not required in music. He says thathe “want[s] people to know what [his] music is about,” not who he collaborateswith. That being said, he has worked with big names such as Britni Elise onthe song “Stronger,” which also is produced by Aaron “D-Boyy” Dissell (iLabRecording, Cleveland), who has produced for artists such as Machine Gun Kelly(@machinegunkelly), Aaron Lafette (@aaronlafette), MIMS, Cheri Dennis, TravisPorter, among others (from facebook.com/dboyybeats). He also has a collaboration withKrayzie Bone (Bone Thugs n Harmony) on a song dropping soon.KPT has some huge things coming up in the next few months. He is performing atSXSW as an opener a couple times, as well as performing at Quincy “Big Heff’s”(@BigHeff) mansion party in Austin, TX the second week of March. On April 14th, heis playing a show in Indiana at Indiana University’s “Little 500” – “America’s GreatestCollege Week,” where the school of 44,000 kids collectively party harder for ten daysthan most of the country does all year. Shortly after that on April 19th, KPT drops hisnew mix tape that he has worked tirelessly to complete before the big concert seasonbegins. So what does KPT stand for anyway? KPT says that his name stands for corruptbecause he has always walked the path away from the normal, constantly trying to pavehis own way not caring what anybody thinks of him.
