Lamar first insight in entertainment started as a kid in church doing black history month performing the great speech by Dr. King Jr. Seeing the crowd response he knew then he had a gift to aw the crowd. Although he didnt have a great feel of music as a child, he love to listen to the radio every chance he got. "I would record the song on the radio and then write down the lyrics" Not knowing that years later he would have the gift to write plays,sitcoms, films, commercials and MUSIC. His style of production usually comes in a 3 step process. 1st- make the beat, 2nd- find the feel of the music, 3rd- write the song. "For some people its hard to write a full song back to back, but since I have such a vivid imagination, its so easy" Influenced by MC Lyte "Poor Georgie" Around the age of 15 he begin to start making songs, about an imaginary character he called K.T (Killa Tech), seeing that it was easier to write a story about a person and put it to a beat seemed more creative, then writing about day to day issues at that time. Now he has fully become equipped with writing songs and even singing the hook. "I use to be so shy when it came to singing, I felt like my voice wasn't as good as the others, but now I know I can hold my own" His influence in music goes further then most. "My son is my top influence, I feel that I am a father before I am a man, and my son is a lifetime support of energy" Other influences are Will Smith, (Greatest actor in the WORLD) Kanye West (Greatest rapper in the WORLD) Micheal Jackson (Greatest entertainer in the WORLD), Jay-Z, N.E.R.D, Gym Class Heroes, Biggie, Nas, Jadakiss, 2Pac 3 Day Grace, and Hoobastank. "I am in love with all music, but here lately I've been listening to rock more then anything" He is a dedicated individual with a humble mind to give respect to get it. Lamar is sure to have a spot in becoming one of the best entertainers in his time. His quote "Whatever you do, do it and do it well, because if you can't do it well; well.........'
