I was born in Albany Georgia, but spent most of my earlier years going to school and growing up in Sylvester Georgia and later moved back to Albany during my junior year in High School. Me and my family have always had a deep love for music. Most of my family members, immediate and extended play one or more musical instruments. When I was 7 years old my grandfather gave me a small guitar, I tried to learn it but at such young age it would be years later until I would find my talent with this instrument. Later at the age of 9 years old I taught myself to play the drums and began playing in church during each service and that’s where my my love of music began. In 2007, my mother gave me a guitar as a gift for Christmas. I took that guitar, went to my grandfather and asked him to give me a lesson or two, primarily my grandfather showed me the basic chords to get me started. Then I spent many nights listening to all genres of music and began teaching myself to play. I found inspiration in all genres! There really aren’t too many genres that I can’t put my own spin on. I believe that any true artist has to love and be able to find appreciation in all genres to truly thrive in this industry. Later in 2008 I made a trip to Nashville TN., although it was only a weekend trip, it was all I needed to experience to know that this life, a life filled with music was what I wanted! During the visit I walked music row, went in small bars, ended up taking a seat in one and asked the band to play a song; turns out they didn’t know it, so a man that was standing nearby (possibly the manager) asked if I wanted to get up and play, of course I answered with a resounding yes! I got up on stage, played, sang, the band played along and the crowd cheered me on! WOW! The gentleman that put me on stage then asked if I had a demo CD, after discovering that I didn’t he suggested that I get one soon! That’s all it took, I headed back south, back to Southwest Georgia with a stronger desire than ever to follow my dream, to make my love of music…my life. Since then I've played in many pubs, bars, clubs, private events, music expos and sat in with great local bands that already have a following, even played on the stage of the Albany Civic Center and have slowly found my niche. I began writing my own songs in 2008 and started recording in 2009. I released a full original CD in September of 2010.
