Lansky "Tha Southern Explosion" is an underground Hip-Hop artist from the South Side of Oklahoma City.   He was introduced to music at an early age, where his love for all musical genres would continue to grow.  Being the son of an United States Air Force airman, he had the opportunity to see and experience a large portion of what the world has to offer before his seventh birthday. Lansky started writing lyrics at an early age.  He was selected to write a song while in elementary for an anti-drug parade.  This opportunity would help open his eyes to his abilities and talents for song writing. During his high school days, Lansky would write lyrics to pass the time.  He was also known to freestyle at house parties and would normally surprise all that heard him.     With no means to record, he took his passion of music and learned everything he could on his own.  He studied his musical influences like 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., and Eminem to better himself at his craft.  With an empty bank account and being fed up with life's struggles, he joined the United States Air Force to care for his family.  That was the financial boost that Lansky needed.  Not only was he able to provide for his family, he was able to afford the equipment he desperately needed to start his musical endeavor.   Lansky released his first album "Sooner or Later" in 2007.  Because of his passion for Hip-Hop, he decided to separate from the military and chase his dreams.  Lansky  is now back to his beloved city and is in the process of working with the best Hip-Hop artists Oklahoma has to offer.  In 2010, he enrolled at ACM@UCO where he is an Audio Production major.  ACM@UCO was founded and is headed by Mr. Scott Booker, the manager of The Flaming Lips.  Lansky is also being mentored by producer/musician Chris Hicks, who has toured and produced for platinum selling artist Reba McEntire.   Lansky is far from your average Hip-Hop artist.  Opening the doors to his own production company, South Bound Productions in 2010, he is building a stable that will be known as Oklahoma's Mo-town.  Instead of selling out to what the music industry wants, he keeps it real to his roots.  Some have stated that Lansky's lyrics paint a very graphic picture.  When asked about his lyrics, his response is, "Music is Life."   Lansky is in the process of recording his second album "The Lone Wolf".  Lansky is also recently produced an album for Ghandi Bonez entitled "It's About Damn Time".  With over 1800 fans across the world and well over 10,000 online song plays, Lansky is just getting started.  This is one Hip-Hop artist you don't want to be caught sleeping on!   For more information, check the following sites.   www.facebook.com/pages/lansky-tha-southern-explosion/146830378684758   www.reverbnation.com/lanskythasouthernexplosion   www.twitter.com/#!/southboundpro   www.myspace.com/thasouthernexplosion
