LeadStone is a hard rock band composed of four energetic and driven musicians coming from different musical backgrounds and cultures. Jason Mateus,a vocalist, guitarist and composer who comes from an electro/industrial/dance club background once decided to change his horizons and try a completely different approach to his music by dropping the keyboards in favor of an electric guitar. Maxim Cormier, a.k.a. Max Bass dwelled in the realms of grunge and Alternative rock and brings a funky, badass groove to the basslines, living up to his nickname. Vince:Badass.Drummer. Patrice Cloutier played in hardcore and progressive rock bands for more than 15 years.He then joined the former trio, to rock like never before, bring new compositions and leads to existing songs, making the band's music sound richer and more defined than ever before. Now in the process of recording the 6 song EP called 'Mothers of the Vice',(in remembrance of the band's former name, the Vice), LeadStone also takes on many shows and played in reknowned venues in Montreal and the surrounding area (Club Soda, Le National) as well as smaller but fun packed bars and bistros around town. LeadStone's objective: To make people of all ages enjoy an energetic, refreshing and driving rock music that makes them feel like driving like felons.
