Intense, intrepid, intrinsically LiLo, reveals TE QUIERO CONFESAR: an irresistible music box of songs that sway between Pop/Rock rhythms, retro synths nuances and emotive electric guitars to match the vulnerability of the lyrics seamlessly weaving together this eclectic collection of tracks, that is half personal diary, half sonic experiment. LiLo, born Linda Lopez, in Mexico, grew up in Los Angeles, CA since the age of two with a very clear purpose of her destiny in music. Something that propelled this singer-songwriter to launch her career with a great spirit of independence. Tracing her own path, step by step, representing  and promoting herself, scheduling tours and getting sponsorships  that would support her vision without compromising her artistic integrity, LiLo completes in 2011 a highly important cycle, with the release of her debut album TE QUIERO CONFESAR. Brimming with transparency and musical sensibility, TE QUIERO CONFESAR tells the story of LiLo’s experiences and reflects the gamut of emotions that have hence remained captured in her compositions. Produced by Jose Tajonar and Manuel Rubio (Finde) in Mexico City, the album consists of ten tracks, nine of which are originals, plus a new version of the New Wave classic, Call Me, originally interpreted by Blondie in the 80s. The first promotional single that gives voice to this formidable production is the power ballad  Estúpida no soy, where LiLo’s interpretative talent and lyrical intensity can be immediately recognized. The track presents one of the multiple facets of this album without necessarily defining it, due to the wide spectrum of influences and musical styles that make it up. Cuentos de radio is another track of particular importance on this album, since it served as the anthem for the Nike campaign, Nosotras corremos, whose sponsorship LiLo also obtained independently. Since running is another one of her passions and an activity she practices to keep grounded and focused, the singer-songwriter joined this initiative where more than 8 million women participated in a massive run through the streets of Mexico City. The campaign was broadcast in the country during various weeks in the summer of 2011.  Nike was not the only company to recognize the special talent that is LiLo. MTV has just premiered her song Mr. Hollywood in October of this year as the main theme of the series  Popland, another feat she achieved all on her own, proving that each artist can find their own avenues to reach the top they envision for themselves, without depending on much more than their own spirit of conviction and confidence in what they do. This is LiLo, decisive, dynamic and devoted to her songs with which she now moves forward on what can be predicted will be a beautiful trajectory of fruitful moments and future adventures, such as the ones she now brings forth in: TE QUIERO CONFESAR.
