Who is Lindsay R. Watson? Four years ago, she was a classically trained singer yearning for an opportunity to grow beyond her roots. A native of the New England area, Lindsay R. Watson caught the attention of radio and music veterans in 2007 when her single “Willing to Change”, became the fastest rising single in the Independent Music Network’s history, vaulting from number 34 to number 2 in less than two weeks time. Since then, Lindsay’s soulful music has been heard on hundreds of radio stations in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Today, her voice is the driving force behind the hot new sound they call “Sultry-PopFunk”; a cross genre blend of soul, R&B, funk, pop, classical and jazz. The 5’11” Connecticut native has gained national attention from media, radio stations and promoters. Lindsay's unrelenting determination proved favorable as she secured the "winning" spot during the Philadelphia Battle For The Crown Contest in 2010. She opened for Anthony Hamilton, Kem, Jaheim, Raheem DeVaughn and others, at the 2010 Budweiser Superfest Summer Tour. Partnering with Veteran producer Di'Mon Brown. Lindsay worked with Di’Mon to integrate his unique vision of soul, R&B, and funk music. Within a short timeframe she transformed from a classical singer into a sexy, soulful diva and took the Di'Mon Brown sound and made it her own. Releasing her first independent album Eyes Wide Shut in 2006, Lindsay received initial success with the lead single “Step Tonight”. The single became a hit on one of Chicago’s popular independent radio stations World Vibe Radio. However it wasn’t until the release of her sophomore album Willing To Change in 2007, that Lindsay received the national acclaim she worked so hard for. Her titled release single, “Willing To Change” was placed in daily rotation on over 130 radio stations across the country. The successful single, earned Lindsay “Hot AC Most Added” honors in August 2007, a stunning achievement for an independent artist. Never ones to be satisfied, Lindsay and her label 11Thirty Music Group are building on the success of Willing To Change. Lindsay can be found performing in music venues all over New York City. From headlining shows at the legendary Blue Note Jazz Club and The Cutting Room, to the Sugar Bar & the Shrine.
