The South Bay is a notorious melting pot of music. Recently a few popular musicians in the area realized there was a genre missing. Where was the solid Pop Punk/Rock/Alternative Group in the area? As most great things, this band started as an idea and eventually grew to become something far more. Taylor and Michael were "theorists" you might say. They theorized that a new good band in this style would go far in the area. With this theory in hand they proposed the idea to Matt Keever, a good friend and guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He was immediately stoked on the idea. Now with a songwriter, vocalist, bassist, and keyboard the band was in need of a drummer. Why not the best drummer in the area, Gianni Gibson? Of course, being the all around good guy and excellent drummer, he was ready to start this new project. There was one missing piece of the puzzle. The group needed some shreducation. Luckily a local friend, Nathan Doiev, has a PhD in the subject. From this point a name needed to be created. John Locke's second treatise states that everyone deserves "Life, liberty, and property." His idea's of freedom intrigued the band and they decided to name their band after his philosophy. Locke in the Second Life... or Freedom in the Second Life. Their music is the second life of freedom. There it is. Five guys, five dreams, one idea and one solid sound!
