LuciD started out as just one person in Springfield MO, Kyle Colson, he quickly realized he was missing something musically. Out of sheer dumb luck he ran across Jake Bollinger, a guitar player from the same area. They got together for a few practices and came to the understanding something was still missing. Kyle then made a call to a friend, Landon Wells, which used to be a DJ a few years back. One thing lead to another, now the name LuciD has transformed from one person, into a band. With Kyle Colson’s hip-hop back ground, Jake’s Rock back ground, and Landon’s DJ experience you get what has been dubbed as a Rock/Hip-Hop hybrid by local media. Within a few short weeks the trio had enough to jump in the studio and record their first EP (T.R.U.T.H.). “The music we write isn’t fake; it’s not about rims or money, if you want to know what our music is about just look around. Look at the Earth, look at the media and radio stations, look at how we are lied to on a daily basis by media and our own government. The Truth Movement is a foundation to what we do but it isn’t everything, we aim to wake people up with our music, show them how and where to do research and let them decide for themselves.” Being humble, aware of their surroundings, stretching genres, and loving what they do is what separates them from the sea of other bands in the world.
