My name is Lauren and I'm a junior at Duke University where I major in Spanish and Pre-Medical Studies and minor in Religion and Psychology. This summer, I'm in North Carolina taking summer classes and working 5-6 jobs weekly to pay my tuition (Duke ain't cheap ya'll... lol). I'm currently working towards med school and plan on enlisting into the U.S. Navy as a physician and hopefully spending my active duty as a Fleet Marine Force physician. Outside of medical science, I love music, movies, and sports. I do a lot of sports reporting for my campus, especially for the men and women's basketball programs ("All we do is WIN"). My all time favorite movie is Scarface. I love the message that hard work and dedication can earn you everything you've ever dreamt of, but materialism can cause you to lose it all. Music is one of the most calming factors in my crazy schedule and some of my favorite artists include Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys, and Gym Class Heroes. I like to rap when I have spare time and plan on putting out a mixtape (for fun) next summer. I'm a much better rapper than people tend to believe, but "point the biggest skeptic out, I'll make em a believer." ;-) Overall, I'm determined and goal oriented, but also laid back and friendly (I'm a Buddhist! lol). Maybe one day I'll upload some of my tracks on here, stay tuned!
