Malevolent Awakening

Around 2003 under many name and line-up changes Malevolent Awakening was born. Fresh from the womb, we started off slow, and couldn’t produce a full band until around 2005-2006. By then, the band was formed under the name Massacre. Not yet knowing what style we excelled at, we covered songs from bands that held inspiration for us all. Around 2003 under many name and line-up changes Malevolent Awakening was born. Fresh from the womb, we started off slow, and couldn’t produce a full band until around 2005-2006. By then, the band was formed under the name Massacre. Not yet knowing what style we excelled at, we covered songs from bands that held inspiration for us all. The sound was captured and so too were the first originals conceived. We traversed from there to play our first gig in November of 2006. Soon after, the morale dwindled and the band splintered; our drummer and guitarist chose to travel different paths, leaving the rest of the band to fill in the cracks. We were reborn, with two of our brothers from the Slain Hussiens filling the voids; we produced a backbone of originals and fine-tuned them, and awakened under a new name.
