Michael Costa is a Thunder Bay born performer, arranger, composer and educator. His classical guitar performances have been broadcast on C.B.Q. Radio and Shaw Cable Television, and have earned him numerous scholarships and awards, including the Lakehead Music Festival's prestigious Rose Bowl Award. Michael Costa is a Thunder Bay born performer, arranger, composer and educator. His classical guitar performances have been broadcast on C.B.Q. Radio and Shaw Cable Television, and have earned him numerous scholarships and awards, including the Lakehead Music Festival's prestigious Rose Bowl Award. Michael has been seen sharing the stage with such distinguished artists as; Liona Boyd, the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, and the Fort William Male Choir. He has performed guitar concertos with the T.B.S.O., as well as with the Consortium Aurora Borealis where Michael resided as Principal Guitarist for several years. Michael received his Bachelor of Arts at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario where he studied theory, composition and performance under the refined tutelage of Dr. Aris Carastathis.
