Michael Latin is on his way to becoming to a successful performer. On many occasions, he has been on the verge on tasting it, but has been held back by things beyond his control. With a new game plan and a fresh set of ideas, Michael is looking to begin his long journey towards the top of the charts. Born on December 20th, 1989 in the urban area of Queens, New York, Michael was always a natural singer. With difficulties learning to communicate and engage in speech, Michael was able to become a functional member of the world through the power of song. While his early song choices consisted of nursery rhymes and Disney songs, he was able to sing on pitch and in tune and was seen as a natural by his parents. As he got a little older, Michael was first put into dance classes under the instruction of Lance Theobald. After a few years of excelling in this, Michael tried his hand at singing and was a pupil at the Garden School Arts Program in Long Island City, New York. While this was not a positive experience, it did teach Michael to be optimistic and that he had the potential to become a brilliant performer. For a few years, Michael did not pursue his performing career further. He did, however, start to write songs. In four years time, Michael had written up to 100 songs. Then, at the age of 16, a summer program at Queensborough Community College struck up his interest in music production. Through a six week intensive course, he was able to learn a lot about taking his song ideas in his head and transforming them into solid recordings. For almost three years, Michael has recorded numerous songs and has attempted to work with other producers to no avail. With experience, he has learned to produce and write all of the songs on his myspace by himself. His strength as a producer is a result of attempting an undergraduate at the same school which sparked his interest in recording. Along with writing and producing songs for himself and others, Michael has been getting his name out there on some big platforms. Michael was extremely close to being signed to two different indie labels. During the summer of 2008, Michael beat out 10,000 other hopefuls and it past a round on American Idol. During the winter of 2009, he made it past two rounds on America's Got Talent for his singing and dancing skills. He was also close to becoming a member of an up and coming Major label boy band called "Wow." With all of his accomplishments and disappointments, Michael remains optimistic. With a new sound, his determination continues to be stronger than ever. Michael is ready to hit the big time.
