The multi talented Minky was born Denardo Williams at the Cornwall Regional Hospital in Montego Bay St. James Jamaica. Born on January 1987 he was a son of the music even at a tender age he was drawn the different genres of the arts, at school he was always involved in drawing, acting and music but he always had deep love for Hip Hop. At the age of six he was exposed to videos of famous rappers such as Snoop Dog, Tupac and Kris Kross which lead him to do research about this genre which he had so much love for. Years later Minky whose mentors in the Hip Hop industry was Jay Z, Naz, Notorious B I G, Eminem and other Hip Hop greats, was so intrigued by the music went on to become on of Mobay’s finest rappers associating himself with the best rappers around town who then formed an organization called Nazdaque Affiliation (Niggas About Zoning Dollars And Quick Enterprise) they were popularly known for free styling in the streets, drawing crowds and encouraging people to support Hip Hop they were once represented by a member of Danger Zone and I Quest productions were they were to be signed to Colombia Records but because of differences it did not occur. Minky then started to do production on his fathers label Victory One Production where he recorded and produced his first solo album OBSERVER which feature tracks like If I Should Die, Strangers, Your Angel, Take A Little Time and Where I’m From. It’s been a long hard road filled with ups and downs but yet Minky couldn’t give up on his destiny, over the years Minky had made changes to his music and himself and has mastered his art and is now recognised as one of Mobay’s top young producers and has done work with majority of the young upcoming talents in western Jamaica, among who his respected for his unique style in beat making and recording. In 2008 Minky interest blossomed in Dancehall after collaborating with Nevlon ‘A Miracle’ Buchanan on tracks such as End Days and Lost Cry. A Miracle’s style of composing lyrics and melodies blended with soul and Dancehall gave Minky inspiration to create his own flavour of Dancehall and Hip Hop which worked perfectly. But it wasn’t until the tragic death of A Miracle that Minky decided to take dancehall seriously, he released singles such as High Grade which is complimented with a video, Anyway Di Money Deh and Wha Wi A Pree Diss Year featuring Jah asky and numerous hits that can be found on the Victory One website www.victoryoneforlife.webs.com . he also did quite a few collaborations with other record labels such as Sample Rage, Coffee Walk productions,1876 Area Code and Bold and Boasy entertainment. Presently Minky is working with a young dynamic group called Rebel Active which is signed to The Victory One Label, as well as promoting his latest hit The Way You Wine featuring Knocklife and On Da Grind featuring Lowkey and Doc Gallingo. Minky who will stop at nothing to fulfil his destiny lives by the motto respect all but fear none and live life to the limit and live it and love it alot.
