MoCara are a four-piece alternative punk rock band from Leatherhead area in Surrey. The band was formed in late August 2009 by Stu and Gary (both previously in bands together) after jamming out a few songs and ideas on the guitar. MoCara are a four-piece alternative punk rock band from Leatherhead area in Surrey. The band was formed in late August 2009 by Stu and Gary (both previously in bands together) after jamming out a few songs and ideas on the guitar. With the addition of their good friend Joe on drums and local bass-player Axel, their simple punk sound started to develop into something much more fresh and exciting that continues to grow and grow. That MoCara sound has taken the band to some of the best venues in London and South East England. It has also taken the band far in many competitions; most notably to the Final of Jar Music Live's Maldives Breakout Festival at the O2 Academy Islington. So what should you expect from MoCara? MoCara's sound is thick with loud sweet-sounding guitars, thundering funk-driven bass lines, pummelling yet creative drumming, ska grooves, big choruses and lyrical fury with genuine meaning; all of which come together with a passion for the music we live for. Most importantly, the band put all their heart into their live performances to make them memorable, fun and complete madness for everybody involved. The band contiue to write new marerial and gig and have just finished their debut EP at the famous Rockfield Recording Studios in Wales which should be out in the summer. Exciting times lie ahead!
