Hello folks, I am Gabriel White III aka Monsta KiD the realest thing that has ever been. Now I came into this world June 20th, 1993 I was named after my father even though my mother left me behind in MLK Hospital I was close to becoming a "John Doe".My father had me for a while then he took me to my Great Aunt's house which I call "Grandma" to this day she and her husband Forrest helped raised me after they had figured that my father had never came back to see me.But when I got older to know of the situation I had got to see my parents a little bit more.Years later my "Grandpa" Forrest had died when I was in the sixth grade Feb. 24 2005 the man that was a true father to me had passed I always called him "Pops". What inspired me to do music?I was inspired by the stories that my Uncle Jim had told "R.I.P." he was a Blues guitar player he learned from his father when he was a young boy.My "grandma" Ynetta was the vocalist for the band that was formed by the family they were called "The White Brothers" because there last name was White. My grandpa, grandma, uncles had formed this group many people were fascinated by the musical gift that they were given during there time.My grandpa Gabriel Sr. was the main owner of the band he was also the drummer; the name began to get bigger & bigger in the music industry. My grandpa had met a man named Austin McCoy, Austin McCoy had talked my grandpa into letting him in his studio to record records he agreed to work with Austin. My grandma had told my grandpa that she had a bad feeling about Austin she kept telling him that if we dont go bout the music the right way that Austin McCoy was going to take our record and run with it my grandpa responded "ahh naww lil sis Austin McCoy is gunna lead us all the way to where we trynna get to."Days had been passed by The White Brothers were almost at the front door but my grandpa Gabriel Sr. did not copyright his music and it had got away and even all our fortune friends and family that they had called and said congradulations, but the problem was we didn't the original song "More Soul" had been chaged to "Soul Serenade" it made over 3 million my grandma walked away from the band and decided to make a living for her children and the White Brothers were no more. When I found out about this amazing story I was suprised of what background history we have in music. The unfinished legacy of music that runs in my family will be finished to set up for succession this time around and failure is not an option I promise to make it my soul job & duty to do this music.I thank God that I'm in the right place and state of mind to do what I have to do because I will be the only one to pick up this responsible trait that is in my blood.-KiD
