Born Jamel Wright, MYNORiTY (aka Myno) is a young and talented entertainer / entrepreneur with quite a future ahead of him. He is a prime example of the American dream for anyone who came up hard. With many successes under his belt even before forming his record label, Dollatarian Records, he knows hard work pays off. “When I was young, my mom told me that I could be anything I wanted in this world…as long as I worked hard for it,” Myno remembers. “I believed her.” Coming from Brooklyn, home to some of the greatest rappers (Jay-Z, Biggie); he knows he has big shoes to fill. What separates him from other artist is not only his business savvy mentality, but also his insatiable desire for growth. “One word that can never be associated with me is complacency”, he says. “A lot of rappers, especially those who came up hard, get a little bit of money or fame, and that’s it…they’re good from there. Taking the title of “entertainer” seriously, Myno recently starred in 3 independent film features, all currently in post-production. He is almost finished writing his first screenplay and has 2 others in development as well. He shares as much of a passion for film and music, as he shares for the business itself. Teaching himself the “ins and outs” of what goes on behind the scenes in the record industry, he’s ready to prove himself to the world as an executive producer. While keeping busy as a rapper, producer, actor, and writer, Myno also takes on the task of being the President / CEO of Dollatarian Records. Building an executive team of trustworthy and reliable individuals. He’s very careful of who he allows into his circle. Working with his artists, Dabier and Cruel-T, Myno has begun to mark himself not only as a great entertainer and businessman, but also a leader. In the process of building his label’s artist roster, he is also in the studio. While working on the 3rd installment of his mix tape series, “Myno’s Way 3: I Am Music”, he is also recording tracks for his untitled debut album. Facing comparisons to hip hop icons like Russell Simmons, Jay-Z, and Diddy; one can see why people consider MYNORiTY a young Mogul in the Making.
