The New Spur Band is a mixture of musicians from some of the areas best bands. The singer ,Bill Hudgens comes from Missouri's legendary band " The County Liners" Earl Knapp recently had the band "Twisted Spur" and had played in several popular KC bands also. Mike Knapp recently moved back to Missouri from Emporia Kansas. He also grew up with a musical family. He is Earls brother and his mother and father also were accomplished musicians. Mike has played for years with many bands as well as for some national acts such as Leroy Van Dyke (The "Singing Auctioneer"), Billy Walker and the legendary Stonewall Jackson . Mike is fluent on many instruments including Guitar , Keyboards , Bass guitar and drums. We are very fortunate to have such a great talent in our band ! Dewayne ( Dewey) Nichols is an area favorite and has also played with Bill and Earl in several bands including the County Liners and Twisted Spur and just recently with Bob Duncan in the Muddy River Band.. Drummer JR Davis has played for several top groups in the Ozarks also and is a acoustic/electronic drummer and percussionist, top forty and traditional country drummer. Together they form one of the areas very best Classic Country and Red Dirt genre bands. With Bills Great voice and Earls powerful guitar sound along with a rock solid rhythm section with Deweys solid bass lines and JR"s tasteful and powerful drumming this band is a force to be reckoned with.
