One morning a young man living the suburban life moved his considerable musical talent to the sunny seaside cradle of music that is Brighton. One morning a young man living the suburban life moved his considerable musical talent to the sunny seaside cradle of music that is Brighton. There he met two other like minded and equally talented musicians who, together with said young man, formed a band out of the birth of a slightly unhappy new sun, subsequently naming it New Sun Blues As time rolled on the trio began to develop a sound that takes in the anthemic elements of grunge kings such as Nirvana whilst adding the harder rock n roll of bands like Pearl Jam and the delicate intricacies of Jeff Buckley. Excitement grew inside and outside of the band as tunes such as Butterflies and Dazed began to sink into the hearts and minds of everyone lucky enough to see them. At the end of 2010 the band welcomed new guitarist Rich Long to the line up, Rich’s sound and musical ability has changed the impact of the band and no doubt was the missing link the band was looking for. New Sun Blues now look forward to what’s lined up to be a very exciting new year! Their first EP release is out in February with gigs to be announced soon, an album and their first UK tour to follow in the summer!
