Kan-Dee, born Candice Cheatham in Cincinnati, Ohio. She first began her career at the age of six captivating audiences in talent shows. That same year she was featured on the box of the "Water Babies" doll and appeared in a fashion show on the "AM LA Morning Show" in Los Angeles. By age seven, Kan-Dee had already done her very first professional recording. For the past twelve years Kan-Dee has performed with her family where she was writer and lead vocalist for their band bearing the name, "iCandi". Their very first stage performance took place in 1996 when the group was asked to do a live cameo appearance with the Temptations in Springfield, Ohio. Their high energy performances have led them to perform with some of the music industry's biggest groups like DESTINY'S CHILD, IMX, YOLANDA ADAMS, TONE LOC, SOS BAND, BARKAYS, and ROBERT TOWNSEND to name a few. Five years ago Kan-Dee's material was presented to Rock N' Roll Hall of Famer Bootsy Collins, whom immediately took notice of her amazing talents and took her under his wing. Since then she has worked on a number of his projects including being featured on the Bootsy Collins Christmas Album, the Bengal's "Fear Da Tiger" music video, wrote for and is the featured vocalist on the new theme song for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and many other projects. Through her hard work Kan-Dee proved herself to be an astounding performer in the eyes of the team at Bootzilla Productions, and its associates landing the spot as the opening act for the "2008 Tribute to the Godfather of Soul World Tour featuring Bootsy Collins, Fred Wessley and the JB's". Where she wooed the crowd with her high energy while performing, gaining her thousands of international fans. Her music, which is currently posted on MySpace, has statistically proven to appeal to an audience of both male and females ranging in all ages. Due fully to the versatility of her vocal abilities, be it in a smooth jazzy ballad or an up-tempo club/dance song, she has proven she has the ability to appeal to the average person on every level.
