Opposing The Arrow (OTA) was formed in Fort Collins, Colorado in 2006. This band is known for its melting pot of sounds that include funk, acoustic rock, punk, elements of jazz and good old-fashioned rock and roll. The music created by this band is a reflection of the band members who all hail from different musical genres and scenes. Bassist Thom Whitney brings an explosive energy to the stage and comes from a varied background, which includes everything from metal to funk. Drummer Alex Bennett dominates the rhythm section of the band and derives his amazing chops from a background in jazz and orchestra. Lead Singer/Rhythm Guitarist Chris Seegers is known for his soulful lyrics and has been singing with a variety of bands over the past 7 years. Opposing The Arrow has been taking Northern Colorado by storm and with the release of their first album, Bombs Fall Thick Like Thieves, they have become known as a force to be reckoned with. They have shared a variety of stages with both local and national musical groups and are all seasoned veterans of the live show setting. This talented band proved they have mainstream attraction and spunk when they won the 2007 Colorado State University battle of the bands.
