Organik is an up and coming producer that spans across a wide range musical genres, from hip hop and grime to drum and bass and jungle as well as some of the more mainstream dance sub genres. Organik started life making loops and beats on a fruity loops demo that he stole off a magazine and after a year or so he began to evolve and realise his talent, and so here we are now at the start of an epic journey. Organik as a name is just the prototype of what is to come in the next few years, watch this space. Organik has such a wide range of influences that some are so far out there you wouldn’t think that he could find inspiration from some of these artists. But he feels that inspiration comes in many forms and people often don’t realise that inspiration can come from anywhere and anything it just happens. His main influences are his own hand picked crack team hip hop and drum and bass mates that will be totally and critically honest but keep their opinions constructive; to enable him to do what needs to be done. As far as actual artist influences go they range from kanye west, because he can take an already soulful beat, fuck it up and still it get people jumping in a club which is what it’s all about really. Aphrodite is also one of his biggest influences for that same reason only he does it with drum n bass and jungle. Joe Budha is another producer who influences the way he thinks about making music because some of his beats are so out there, they sound like they were made by AIR, who are also a big influence of Organik’s by the way not really for their music as such but the originality that put across. The Stanton Warriors have become one of the most recent influences with their unbelievable techniques that merge hip hop and electro and make remixes that often surpass the originals. Organik likes to think his style is unique, just like everybody else’s. Imagine a blend of heavy drum beats that break and reform mixed with super low level bass lines that shake the shit out whatever its being played through. Now pair those sounds with some soft sweeping and often operatic synths and leads to bring the music to life and you are somewhere close to the aim of what Organik is trying to accomplish.
