Ortega The Omega was born in 1988.Raised in South Central Los Angeles. The city where things happen based on the decisions you make. His family raised Ortega to be a good kid like every parent. As he got older, he started to notice the life of Los Angeles. As a teenager, he started to smoke marijuana, which later was his remedy. At the same time he got into the graffiti scene and started learning more about by getting advice from his friends. As a few years went by he would go out on the streets and did “missions” with various friends. When he first got out he didn’t know that there was danger out on the street. For the fact that some walls couldn’t be tagged on because it was a gang’s territory. Knowing that it’s part of the Hip Hop culture and one of the lifestyles in L.A. it’s still comes with consequences. Now he has slowed down in street graffiti but that doesn’t mean he is against it. As all this was happening he also had an influence in making music. As a little kid, he would listen to his homeboy’s uncle play “west coast gangsta rap” in his DJ system. When he was 13 he would listen to Hip Hop on the radio. He felt like he could do the same. The style he had before was different until his homeboy started to show him a different style of hip-hop. It wasn’t about fancy cars or anything materialistic. So by the age of 16 he was into the L.A. underground scene. He had recorded 2 CDs with his homeboys. (On the Ortega The Omega album, track 8 entitled “teenager flow” is a sample of his old flows) Also when he was 17 he was learning how to make his own beats. On December 2007 he did a group performance at a bar in Norwalk C.A. The beginning of 2008 wasn’t a good year. He was unemployed for 8 months. He was getting familiar with drug dealing. Thinking that selling “Kush weed” was going to keep him paid. Around that time he had quit music in order to be with his graffiti crew. He noticed that he had lost respect from the people he used to rap with. But it didn’t bother him. They didn’t see the mental and economic problems he was facing everyday. So one day he was so fed up from being stuck and not doing anything. He decided to make the biggest change of his life. It was to move to West Jordan Utah with his family. As soon as he got here, he felt less stressed and wanted to give hip-hop another chance. Used to be known as Konphez One but he change his name because he started all over. He had already had 2 tracks (Pepto Bismol & This Is Our Life) done. Working hard until each song was on point. Finally, He finishes recording his 10-track album. At the end he threw in a track he did with his sister in 2007 entitled “cherish your life.” Even though he moved out of L.A. he wouldn’t forget his family and friends he left behind. Hoping to be visiting his hometown every chance he gets. But first, he needs to be stable. Ortega The Omega wants to create a legacy that no one will forget. With the help of the man upstairs, He wants to accomplish this goal. And it will be if he manages to stay focus and keep working hard. “Only Time Can Tell” Booking or contact email ortega_the_omega@live.com or www.myspace.com/ortegatheomega
