Marie Dance, who is originally from Abingdon in Oxfordshire, uses her experiences and unique outlook on life in her lyrics to draw a picture that most people can relate to. Marie’s vocals are warm and inviting, while the contrasting melodies from the acoustic guitar really pull out the folk/rock-style in the music.
In 2005 Marie moved to Thailand where she joined an original rock band called The Tonic Rays, They soon recorded and released their album.. Tonic Rays.. Due to the huge success of the album the band set off on an extensive tour around Thailand and south East Asia, creating a huge buzz around them and gaining the interest from media resulting in the album gaining amazing reviews, including Chuck Eddie, a music Critic for the billboard magazine rated the album in his top ten releases for the year 2008.
In the latter part of 2008 Marie moved back to her home town of Worthing in the UK, taking a wealth of amazing experiences and new musical influences with her. Marie was determined to take the music industry by storm and set out to start a new band.
She soon met and teamed up with Sussex born percussionist Paul Moseley, who’s brilliant and highly talented skills made a great impact on each of the songs they wrote, bringing in elements of different genres and influences from all over the world. Paul demonstrates his talent as he moves effortlessly from heavy rock riffs into easy listening & smooth jazz, adapting to any style of music with ease. With the addition of Sussex born bass player Chris Baigent, who succeeded to provide amazing bass riffs and melodies. A good solid rock foundation in his playing gels the transition from verse to chorus and beyond, adding that extra “edge” to the music that will draw you in and get your feet tapping.
There is something for everyone; a true mix of excellence; Joy and a unique cross culture of musical influences that creates a breath of fresh air within the music industry. It won’t be long before they will become a household name across the globe. The band are currently preparing for a UK tour to promote the release of their debut EP ..All Our Lives!.. on March 30th.
