Paul Benshoof began chasing his musical aspirations as early as high school by composing rock’n’roll songs and performing them with high school acquaintances, eventually evolving into an acoustic folk soloist while attending college in upstate New York. However, the pace of his journey really didn't assume full stride until 1986, when a college friend familiar with Paul's music dared him to record an album. Six albums later, that catalytic dare proved very worthwhile, as it dramatically increased his listening audience and afforded him the opportunity to gravitate back toward his rock’n’roll roots and squarely establish him as a folk-rock artist.
