To best describe this socially conscience, intelligent, passionate, revolutionary minded individual, it would be fair to say, Righteous But Ruthless Incorporated {check the meaning}.That’s how you could describe this advocate, producer, ghetto loving rapper from Jackson. Power Born is much more than just your average wannabe rapper. He is all about the truth and is very intense about the problems that plague his communities. It is noticeable in his conversations and within his music. Power is a person who is trying to bring the truth to what we call reality. He tells about the other side of the ghettos, hoods, projects and slums a lot of us live in. What he talks about comes straight from the heart righteous but ruthlessly. Power says his music speaks from and for those people who are really trying, hoping and wishing things would change for the better in their communities. He is an unknown entity to a lot of people associated with rap right now. Why? People seem to gravitate more towards things that are ignorant than to what they think is complex to them, which is intelligence and knowledge. Power knows there are a lot of us out there who are trying to make a difference in our deteriorating communities and the declining mentality of our people.Inspired by people like his Mother, Nat Turner, The Black Panther Party, and Malcolm X, and those people who stood up and fought for a just reason. Power Born is not new to this rap game, but he is new to the mic though. He started verbalizing and recording his music in 2006. Before that he was producing and composing music for other artist he knew and was close to. That spawned the release of the first project he worked on, a compilation album featuring up and coming artists: Crook da General, Sol, Darrell D, Lil One and others he was associated with. The album, Power Born presents, Righteous But Ruthless Incorporated, It’s Us… The Introduction released in 2005, Power said it was a learning process. He produced, recorded, arranged and released that album independently, all while learning in the process, that’s what you call on the job training, straight do it yourself style. It was released through his label Righteous But Ruthless Incorporated; he brought to life that same year.Power is currently in his home project studio working on his 1st project as an artist, which will include the tracks, Hear Me Now, Sodom and Gomorrah, and Stereotypical Racism. Those are just the first songs he will be marketing and promoting for his up and coming album release. Power is very humble at what he do, but is very aggressive at what he stands for and what he knows to be morally right. That’s why he know those people who loves their community but hate the things that goes on around it, will relate to him and his style of music.
