Atlanta's new artist Prince Jarmen began playing around with words and sounds at the age of 12 and by his sophomore year in high school he recored his first demo. Realizing the astounding support he received from various members of his community in he began his career as an artist. By the summer of 2002, Jarmen started to shop around his demo to different types of record label executives at different music conferences around the east coast and southeast region. Prince Jarmen started to make himself known in and out of all of the major studios. His grind and relentless attitude built respect on the street and everywhere he went. Through endless trips up and down I-95/I-85, one eventually led him to former AR of J RecordsJeffery L. Austin, whom openly expressed a particular interest in his demo and gave Jarmen two beats which led to the creation of, "We don't care," and "Junk in the trunk." Both songs made it to the CD player of head AR, Cliff Culteri of Koch Records. Unfortunately, due to inexperience with the music industry, Jarmen did not successfully break through. However, not getting discouraged he continued to network with an array of producers and artist. Producers such as Monte Fox, Love (Pineehittaz) and North Carolina producer, Marshall LAW of BEAST music. Not to mention a requested opening act for an a-list of national recording artists such as, Ginuwine, David Banner, Now City, Da Band, Juvenile, and Pastor Troy. Linking up with the astounding producer, Black Jeruz of G-Unit and former Def Jam COMP, Prince Jarmen released his two street singles "Daydreaming" and "Dump Truck." These singles lead up to the release of the mix tape, "Child's Play 101.1" hosted by the elite Heavy Hitters DJ K-Nyce. With approximately 5000 mix tapes of Childs Play circulating, not only in North Carolina, but also in various states such as Georgia, Texas, and California. Prince Jarmen's charismatic style and ladies man persona built him a reputation of being a relentless and passionate artist. With and overwhelming response to "childs play" Jarmen's drive and determination for his music career grew dramatically. At all costs Jarmen believed that he could reach this goal by moving to Atlanta, Georigia - the music Mecca of the south. Jarmen began working on a new mix tape, "A Hustler's Dream" with NC producer Marshall LAW of BEAST music. The two became the ideal do in the studio, which lead to the smash single, "808" Some of the featured artists on this mix tape includes, The Nappy Roots, Chad Beats (Producer of Lloyd Banks, Rihanna, etc). "A Hustler's Dream," was inspired by the pure hunger and respect that prince Jarmen has built from his fans and home city. In the few months of Jarmen's arrival to ATL, Jarmen broke ground quickly, with the help of the DJ Ox Banga from the noted Aphilliates. With their ingenious and creative attack to music record labels, executives, producers and other artists knew his presences. Joel Peavy of Front 1 Entertainment quickly noticed his lyrical abilities and offered a recording contract with his company. Prince Jarmen's unique and enthusiastic attack to his music is a ride on the Daytona 500 without a brake pedal. he truly lives by the quote, "get your mind right, or get left out." This subliminal quote is a message to those around him that don't feel him yet. Jarmen's approach to music is one that should and will be recognized by many.
