Comprehensive and uncompromising! Puppet Arms of Aarhus is a close-knit group consisting of five ambitious musicians who together create a unique amalgam of progressive rock and metal. The band’s melodious songs constitute a comprehensive and uncompromising expression, manifesting itself in recordings as well as onstage. In live performance, the group’s particular sound is at its best. This is when the audience gets a full impression of an original as well as aggressive sound, topped with an accomplished stage performance that shows off the band at its purest, that is as a musical union self-assuredly creating its personal expression. Puppet Arms was formed in the winter of 2007. During its short span of life, the band has already demonstrated its large potential with a number of live performances plus two EPs. Particularly the latest one, Illusion, released in March of 2010, was very well received in uniformly positive reviews. The EP was recorded in cooperation with Tue Madsen, who formerly worked with, among others, Rob Halford, Mnemic, The Haunted, and Hatesphere. In the summer of 2010, Puppet Arms entered into collaboration with the booking agency Broken City, and more live performances are being planned for of 2011. The ambitious quintet are also writing songs for an upcoming first album to be released in 2011.
