Quick Wit was aimlessly swiping at rocks with a golf club in 2001 when he actually caught one, sending the rock into the backyard sliding glass door, shattering it instantaneously. Quick Wit was aimlessly swiping at rocks with a golf club in 2001 when he actually caught one, sending the rock into the backyard sliding glass door, shattering it instantaneously. His parents were furious but later his mom asked if he'd prefer golf lessons to guitar lessons for his birthday. He chose guitar. He and his buddy Antwan started jamming and began a joint collaboration that still works together to this day. Nothing Special was born out of his and Antwan's jam sessions, alongside a buddy named M@ on bass. They recruited a few drummers through Nothing Special's reign in Mesa, AZ, played several shows in Mesa, Fountain Hills, and the MHS Battle of the Bands, which helped NS's popularity, and recorded a demo EP but inevitably the band split in 2004. Quick Wit still collaborates with Antwan and composes music and songs in his spare time to this day.
