Passionate and authentic rock music is what R3IGN is all about. Their unique and powerful sound coupled with their incredible lyrical creativity has captivated audiences throughout Southern California. Their music engages fans of all different ages as they demonstrate their ability to touch the roots of authentic rock. R3IGN's inception began when award winning singer and songwriter, Jenna Wedge, met drummer, Jake Cuevas. Both musicians had a deep passion for music and they each had aspirations to form a band. Shortly after meeting, Wedge and Cuevas were introduced to guitarist, Caleb Bolka. The trio decided to form a band and R3IGN was officially born in 2007. A few months after the band had formed, they met Tyler Chittick, who became R3IGN’s bassist. The band began to play gigs throughout the Inland Empire and Orange County. These early performances allowed R3IGN to develop their sound and create new material. As they matured and grew into their unique style, their music began to draw comparisons to the likes of Paramore and Emery. R3IGN continued to progress their sound by pushing the boundaries of mainstream alternative rock with their creative lyrics and musical arrangements. Their original songs started to draw in a significant fan base. Fans loved the combination of great music and incredible performances. As a result, the band began to receive more opportunities to play in various venues and concerts throughout Southern California. These have included Audio Overload Music Festival, Chain Reaction, and the L.A. Marathon to name a few. In April 2009, R3IGN released their first album, Shadowbox. The album showcases their unique style and powerful sound. Following the release of Shadowbox, R3IGN started to promote their new album in various venues and events. To go along with the release of their album, R3IGN went to work on their first music video. In October 2010, R3IGN released their video, "Warrior". This video allowed the band to explore a new area of their creativity while providing another outlet to demonstrate their powerful sound. Currently, R3IGN is working on the follow up to their successful Shadowbox album. Their new album is set to release in 2011. The band is also planning a tour for 2011, which will span multiple states throughout the southwestern United States. The band is excited for the upcoming album release and the new tour. Wedge explains, “Our new album is a reflection of how much we have grown as a band and who we are as musicians. The tour will allow us to expand our music and gain new fans.” 2011 looks to be a phenomenal year for R3IGN and they are looking forward to performing in a city near you.
