Red Beard's trademark is becoming their barely contained oscillations between insanity and normality. The Indie Rock band hailing from Cleveland has come together from four states to combine their musical training into a dynamic quartet full of eccentricities. Lead vocalist and guitarist Matt O'Shea, pianist Tim Lewicki, bassist Ben Meadors and drummer Dane Palmer each add their own eclectic musical background to the bands mishmash of Indie Rock, Post-Punk and Electronica. Matt O'Shea's eccentric song writing mind frame attracted bassist Ben Meadors to enlist in the ranks when he heard Matt performing at a party. Pianist Tim Lewicki was a mutual friend and well known virtuosic jazz and classical piano player. The band discovered hyperactive drummer Dane Palmer a few weeks later and Red Beard took off at a manic pace. Soon after the group released their first demo "Nebulous". The release sparked intrigue and repute as well as comparisons to the successful New Wave group from Cleveland, Pere Ubu. Currently the band is gainfully employed, stockpiling funds for studio time and touring. O'Shea continues his manic writing while recovering from a series of physical and mental health issues. The band looks forward to the future and is excited at what lies ahead.
