Redris - Bio Redris was born and raised in Syracuse/Utica, NY area. He gained his love of music at church while banging on the piano and drums and singing in the choir as a child. He was influenced by the artists his parents played on the home radio, such as Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. His mother, who also sings vocal, coached him. He was influenced by his dad, "a guitarist", and grandmother, "a pianist". As a teenager he developed writing skills as well as playing piano by ear. He would write and perform with the choirs and perform in local talent shows. Some of his favorite artists include Brandy, Ginuine, Aaliyah, Jay Z, and many other 90's majors. Redris is comparable to artist like Omarion and Chris Brown. As a producer he is often compared to Timbaland, Ryan Leslie, and Rodney Jerkins. As a writer, his 1st love, he is compared to many like Alicia Keys, NeYo, and Keri Hilson. Redris is able to write just about anything in any genre for anyone. Redris is currently finishing up his senior year at A.I.U., American Intercontental University in Atlanta, Ga., furthering his skills in Media Production. He has established himself as a great engineer, editor "film and music", songwriter and vocal arranger. He has worked with many local artists such as Picasso, Mycro, R'chive, Phylle, Anointed Spirit, and many more. Redris received his first credit in the movie "Dirty Laundry", a 2006 drama film produced by 20th Century Film. The film featured a song produced by Redris, performed by Phylle in a short dance scene. Most people know him for his music but he is also a very talented Painter and sketch artist like his mother. Redris will be more than a triple threat he is a musical genius who has accomplished himself as a great songwriter, producer, vocal arranger, and poet. By blending the new with the old and experimenting in genres such as R&B pop, rock, and gospel. Redris has created a sound for all ages to enjoy.
