Rest assure Richmond, Indiana - Jessica Phenis has been playing as a solo artist for over 10 years. She also plays with a full band for shows. Members of the group are John Whittington (bass), Sam Harris (drums), and Jason Smith (electric guitar). Jessica has been working hard on writing and recording her own music since 2008. Her style is contemporary with a sprinkle of rhythm and blues mixed in. Her vocals are tender, yet powerful and demanding of attention. Her story telling abilities and the dynamics of her story telling is awesome – a true pleasure to listen to. Jessica also plays acoustic guitar like no other. Listening to her newest single, “On Your Way”, will give you a clear understanding of her abilities. “It’s called ‘On Your Way’ because it’s a song about a guy that is leaving and I am waiting to say goodbye and that I can’t go with him. It could mean so many different things, though. I write songs so that people can interpret them how they please and have many different meanings to match up other peoples feelings.” It’s the ability to have the audience take their own experiences and transform them into the song.
