Born in London in the 1950s, i happily admit to having been 'lost in music' from first hearing the haunting sound of Hank Marvin's scarlet Stratocaster on 'Apache'. I guess i've been 'hankering' for pop stardom ever since but, in the seventies i chose designing album sleeves to performing and went to work for CBS/Sony as their art director in London. Having been privileged to see Hendrix's last London concert, as well as Cream, Pink Floyd, The Kinks and The Bonzo Dog Band in the sixties, i have great respect for musicians who 'broke the mould', more especially during that seminal period in the late 70s and early 80s when Ian Dury ( a huge personal hero ), Clash, Squeeze and The Smiths set about re-defining the pop genre. Having said that, all i really want to do is let people tap their feet, clap their hands and, just maybe, smile in their minds.
