Roc started rapping at the age of nine while watching his older brother,cousin and their friends and reciting their lyrics.For Roc,at the time,it was just something to do.By the time he was eleven,Roc had mastered the art of rapping along with beat boxing.He formed a group with his childhood friends called(S.O.D.)which meant Shorties Of Destruction that later grew to be a neighborhood clique.As the Don of the clique,the name Roc Don came about.Roc wrote rhymes for himself and other members in the group.After a brief run with the group,Roc went solo. Being caught up in the street life,Roc put rapping on hold and began to slang(sell drugs).Roc quickly made a name for himself in the drug game by starting out working for himself.At the age of fourteen,Roc found himself being the soul provider for his place of residence by paying bills and buying groceries.So he went back to rapping. In 1994 he join a group along with his older brother(Wuce) and a close friend(Short Bod) called Rated PG.Rated PG recorded one album under the management of Boogaloo Productions and Omerta Records self titled Rated PG at Battery Studios/Jive Records in Chicago,IL.Due to bad management,the group failed to succeed.So Roc went back to the streets. In 1999,Roc rejoined forces with his older brother(Wuce) and this time with his cousin Tori(T-Man)Adams courtesy of Rawazeva Music.They formed a group called Dem Guyz and recorded an album that was produced by Wax Master of Chicago,IL.After making a video,some radio play and major record sales,the group deteriorated due to constant incarceration by all members. In September of the year 2000,Roc suffered a gunshot womb to the abdomen at close range in his ABLA neighborhood.Fortunately he survived.six months after that he was once again incarcerated and sent down state to do penitentiary time.Upon his release,Roc vowed to stay out of jail and pursue his dream of becoming a rap artist and business man.Now Roc is the Founder/Ceo of his own entertainment imprint,Roc-E-Knuckles Entertainment.With blazing hot tracks and a versatile style,Roc is sure to become one of Hip hops' greatest rappers........Sit back and enjoy!
