A thought provoking and moody, loose interpretation of indie pop featuring the vocal styling of Romie Romak. The songs reference and draw inspiration from iconography, subliminal education, and Easter. In early 2011, Romak released 'Three Wishes for Romie,' a debut 3 track EP about indulging popular romantic notions and childhood dreams, wrapping up with a somber request for guidance and wisdom. Aside from ‘3 Wishes for Romie,’ the Romak band is also known for their haunting cover of the Billy Idol classic, “Eyes Without a Face” as well as their controversial contribution to the “Black and Yellow” (Wiz Khalifa) cover phenomenon. Some songs feel like waking up late on a Sunday morning, brushing the tangles out of your hair and walking around the house idly rearranging things while singing along with a record. Other songs are like nightwalks in your own company, scrolling through your phone and wondering who or who not to call. Sonically, the group champions the setting of mood, but experiments with structures and tactics for achieving desired sounds. "The opening track “Move to a Separate Land” sets the tone for what’s to come, with entrancing vocals echoing between verses. I keep finding this one stuck in my head, which to me helps make it stand out from the crowd" - Flash Flood Media, on '3 Wishes for Romie' flashfloodmedia.net
