Rose has been singing her whole life. She started in church as a child and then went into the NW Children's Choir, and then she started her vocal career at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics where she attended for seven years. Rose has been singing her whole life. She started in church as a child and then went into the NW Children's Choir, and then she started her vocal career at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics where she attended for seven years. Now she is a singer/song-writer attending Clark College. She has a passion for life and Music, and especially live music and sharing this beautiful gift of music with all those around her. She volunteers in her local community singing at retirement homes and various churches. She is also part of the Vocal Jazz Ensemble and Women's Choral ensemble at Clark College. She performs professionally around the community at local concerts and events as well and is starting to get into the Jazz scene in Portland, OR. Rose Allred's ultimate passion in life is to bring people together through music, whether she is performing or not. The community that music can bring in the lives in the people around her brings her more joy than anything. Rose organizes shows for musicians and events regularly to bring people together. For example she organized a Jazz Benefit Concert in downtown Vancouver, Washington featuring local jazz artists and herself. The event raised money to benefit bringing art education to children in Zambia and Kenya which in turn helped them raise money for their schools by selling some of the art that they made. Rose’s favorite song is Closer to Fine by the Indigo Girls. Having been raised in a household of six daughters, she is an avid supporter female musicians. Rose being in a household of six daughters sound like a disaster, but on the contrary, to Rose, it was one of the most beautiful creations of sisterhood that will ever be seen. She was raised in love - to love, to celebrate, and to embrace the spontaneity and beauty of life. She was raised around a household of strong, determined, beautiful women who embrace music and art of all kinds. This is what makes up Rose's character. And thus makes up the richness if her voice and the emotional authenticity and delightfulness of her performance, rooting her deeply into the world of music in which she loves.
