My name is Rosty Alex and I am a musician like many others would call me. I’m originally from Moscow, the capital of Russia. I come from not a very wealthy family buy this is the way it is. When I was 9 years old, my mother decided to move to France with me and start a new life, a better life. One day she took me to a guitar store to show me what music world is like and I was impressed by how many talented musicians there were sitting there and trying out different guitars and instruments. She always wanted me to become a musician because her whole life revolved around music and she wanted to share that passion with me. She told me then ‘My son, you want to be a musician? You want to live your dream? Then go and grab it.” Since the day she bought me my first acoustic guitar, I never took my hands off it. When I moved into an American school in France, I didn’t speak very English very well so I just went with the flow and tried to catch some words from conversations with my classmates. It didn’t take me long to speak it because if you really want something, no matter what, you will get it, but you have to work for it. Once at my school concert I saw a guy around 18 years old, he grabbed his beautiful white polished Fender Stratocaster and started playing that tune from the T.V series ‘Friends’. No matter how simple that tune was, he played it amazingly well with a lot of bending and tremolo effects. I was dazzled by his performance and ever since I saw him, he became my hero. I was 11 then and that day I felt the music like I’ve never felt it before. It was growing into me. Since that day, I came to watch his every single performance including band rehearsals and that meant a lot for him that I would always support him. I used to print out plenty of posters and stick them on walls in the hallway to advertise his shows so more people would come. One night after his gig, he came up to me and said, “ Hey buddy, you did a great work. You’ve done a lot for me and I wanted to say thank you. For being there for me and mostly for being a good friend. I want to repay you.” After his speech he pulled out a big black case onto the table and told me “Hey check this out, I got you a present”. Straight after that I was shocked and a little worried. So I started opening the case and inside was his white Fender Stratocaster. I swear I almost had tears in my eyes when I saw that. For me this was like a star fell from the sky and exploded into my face with a million diamonds. After that emotional moment he asked me “Hey dude, do you want to rock? Then let me teach you some”. For two whole months he taught me songs by all those bands like Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Dire Straight, Nirvana, Papa Roach, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy and Joe Satriani. Then I made my own band and the age of 13 and started doing little gigs at my school. I swear I’ve never thought that so many girls would come watch us. They would just stand there and watch us play and listen to my solos. That day I had more friends than I had frets on my guitar. After that school I decided to do something serous with my music. So I started organizing gigs in pubs and outdoor places at the age of 16. There were many people, many fans and money going into my pocket night after night. I decided that I needed my own guitar. I told my self “That guy made my dream come true, I need to do this my self”. So I went to work as a waiter at a pub along with my gigs, then I started working in the construction and coming home every night stinking of cement and dirt all over my hands. I’ve had a horrible time working I must admit, but in the end I got what I wanted. I saved up 2000 dollars to buy my first Fender with a black finish. That day I was so proud that I did this by my self, so I started recording song after song on my recording machine in my room. I started my own Myspace page and uploaded song after song to share my passion and love for music to all Myspace users. Today I’m a solo artist, writing songs about everything that bothers me or what makes me love and dream. I’ve always wanted to be famous but not famous to be rich, famous to be able to share my music with the whole world. I want people to hear my voice and my guitar on radio and CD records for years. I want to share with people not only my skills, but mostly my love and passion for music that I had and have today. At this moment, I’m addressing to all of you who have read my biography or listened to my music. I hope you enjoyed what I created and I promise there will be more to come!
