ROF will be heading into the studio in mid 2009 to record their highly anticipated debut E.P, a product will be ready for purchase in August/September '09. Until then ROF will be igniting venues across Sydney, South, Central and North Coast New South Wales.

Many of Rumour on Florence's songs are based around political and personal issues, Self Centred is both of these things.
Politically speaking and the core of the song is of abortion, and personally dealing with heart felt decisions and coping with abortion before and after.
The narrative is taken from the third person during the verses, the unfortunate human who will never get to see the light of day, struggling to comprehend what their life is about and forgiving the sins of their parents. The chorus focuses on the personal issues the parents face with coping and dealing with such a decision, eventually breaking down the relationship and disintegrating.
Many issues in the world affect a great number of people in todays society and abortion continues to be at the forefront. Rumour on Florence only hopes that Self Centred can shed some light and help the world come to a strong and definite stance on what is obviously not only a source of revenue raising within the medical profession but more importantly a moral high ground for us all to live by, taking away that decision that should not need to be made or even come into consideration. Most of all dealing and taking responsibility for ones actions.
