Starting in late 2007, the seeds for Scattered Earth were planted when John Moruzzi and Brandon Futernick, after putting their main band Wasteland on hold, got together with Dan Galante to form a new band that steered clear of all the monotony that plagued their local music scene. With a gracious nod to the slow, plodding riffs that metal was founded on, they combine elements of both the past and present to create a sound that is all their own. Starting in late 2007, the seeds for Scattered Earth were planted when John Moruzzi and Brandon Futernick, after putting their main band Wasteland on hold, got together with Dan Galante to form a new band that steered clear of all the monotony that plagued their local music scene. With a gracious nod to the slow, plodding riffs that metal was founded on, they combine elements of both the past and present to create a sound that is all their own. Following a brief hiatus in the middle of 2008, the band reconvened and in February 2009, finalized their lineup with the addition of Julian Santiago on vocals. The band plans to have several recordings and shows lined up in the near future, so be prepared!!
